Hello. My name is Adele. I am in the MAT Alternate Route Program; my endorsement is Business Education and Marketing grades 7-12.
I have been back in Mississippi for three years. I have been living in New Hampshire for the past 18 years, and various locations prior. I have been in medical sales for 20 years; ah, yes, I am "older" than most people in this class.
I have always been involved in teaching and training; regional trainer position, management positions and training physicians/nurses to use my products. My business experience will help me provide additional insight on the employment arena to my students.
I have used Microsoft Office for years in my sales positions. I am most adept at using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher. I have recently been teaching myself Access; I can tell I'm gonna like it a lot! I do a lot of still and video projects. I found several old videos when I moved, and have had a great time converting them to DVDs, and giving them as gifts to the friends who are in the original video. The trip to Dollywood in 1987 was as much fun this time, as it was then!
I recently got a teaching position. I know I will learn a lot. I am beginning to use photography and videography as a tool with the students. I will keep you posted on the outcome.
I look forward to learning about ways to get the students involved in learning in every possible means available. Oh, I also like cats and dogs. I have cats.
